LIFE AND LOVE : so far, we’ve come a long way

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
(Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV)

This is so true of this summer. This is so true of life. And for the life to come.

I cannot begin to articulate all of the detailed, intricate ways in which the Lord has shown Himself, in which the Lord is working, and we just wait on Him. We watch with great anticipation. And we in faith, hope, and with love and great joy, LIVE FOR HIM.

And here are some photographs, some glimpses of our life this summer. These snapshots may be worth a thousand words, but it would take even more than that to tell you about all that the LORD is doing. And for now anyways, I will treasure it in my heart.

We started our summer Memorial Day Weekend in Oriental, NC with my family

From Covenant College, set atop Lookout Mountain in Georgia, you could see seven states : Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. However, we stayed at the bottom of the mountain in Chattanooga, and I spent most of my time in the Hampton Inn. I call this the Hampton Inn trip.
This was Leland’s first time at the beach in Destin, FL. It was beautiful and he LOVED it. The camp this week, Superwow, was wowed by the Matt Papa Band. I’m not sure they knew what to do with the band, but nonetheless, the Lord was glorified.

During our family time together – Tyler, baby boy, and I get to be together A LOT, my man and my boy have really forged their own relationship. Leland is excited to see ‘da-da’ and he just crawls all over him now. It’s so sweet and such a precious gift from the Lord.

Destin was kind of a hard week for the band, even though we were at the beach, so it was providential perfect timing to stay in a bonafide mansion getting rested up and taken good care of for the weekend. This is a blurry shot of our bed. Notice the chandelier in the mirror. And this is only a small taste of the whole house. Truly, it wasn’t the house that wowed us as much as its hospitable, godly owners. Kenny and Lila loved on us like their own and we so enjoyed our time with them. We plan to come back!!
Panama was a great week. We enjoyed the students and their leader, we enjoyed each other’s company, and we enjoyed the sun and sand. Leland again loved the waves!
This was one of the rooms in the house we stayed in in Panama. From glory to glory – from mansion to in need of a renovation beach house. That’s the life on the road and we love it. It keeps our feet on the ground, you know?

We then made a through the night nine hour drive from Panama to Ridgecrest, NC. It was so good to smell North Carolina air!! I’m a Carolina girl, y’all.

THIS WEEK – Tyler, sound checking. When Leland and I walked into the room while Tyler was sound checking, Leland excitedly announced, “da-da!”

Right now we are in Ridgecrest until the end of the month. We covet your prayers. We pray the LORD is glorified. We are excited for all that the Lord has for us in the future and we…
