Whatever Your Issue

Listen, sweet reader, whatever your issue, Jesus.

This truth is something that the Lord is beginning to teach me in a new way. This is a truth for the ages. I know this truth because of the Word of God, because the Holy Spirit inside of me says Yes and Amen, and because my life bears witness to it again and again, over and over, grace upon grace.

In one sense, it truly does not matter your issue. Jesus.

And in other sense, it’s whatever your issue, little or big, great or small, simple or complicated. Jesus.

The Word says to cast your cares on the Lord because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
He cares after you. over you. and in your place.
He cares and you do not have to worry.
Do you not just love that!?

When you have an issue – problems piling up – sadness drowning you – whatever, no matter – He cares in your place in such a way that is incomprehensible to us and in such a way that you can go back to your play, to your worry-free, childlike faith life.

Do you remember when your mom would say to you, “Now honey, I’m taking care of it. Don’t you worry. Go play.”

That’s, in a way, what the Lord is saying. Let me handle it, my child. I know. I understand. And I can.

Run to Jesus. Cling to the Cross. Lay your burdens, yourself down. And then walk in the newness of life. In His freedom as His child. Whatever your issue.

The book that little man is reading is a new book from Sally Lloyd-Jones, Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing, a devotional book for children. He is sharing all about Jesus to his friends.
