learning : stand up in it

It’s true that your body never goes back to the way it was. And it’s also true that your forever-changed body, my forever-changed body, is simply the visible reminder that everything never goes back to the way it was. Truly, you wouldn’t want it to. But you think so because you think you remember being comfortable and perhaps even better back there, in before.

But mom, you are here. Changed body, changed heart, changed motivations, changed day-to-day, changed wardrobe, changed mind. Transformed. And by the Lord’s great grace, you are better.

The second lesson I learned is to stand up in this new role, this great calling, this gifted identity the Lord bestowed on me.

Mommy.

Proverbs 31:28A “Her children rise up and call her blessed”

this is me, last year, with grafton raleigh, coming soon… changing and re-shaping my body, my life, one more time… thank you, Lord
