Paul writes to the believers,
And do not get drunk with wine, … but be filled with the Spirit. … And the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control – against such things there is no law.
(Ephesians 5:18 & Galatians 5:22-23)
So, believer, instead of getting hung up in your sin or getting entangled in the world, let’s ask Jesus to fill you – Lord, fill her – with Your Holy Spirit…
He already has been hung up in your sin; He untangled Himself from the cords of death and He is risen from the dead! He is alive and free and in Him you, too, are alive and free!
Confess your sin to Him and before the Cross where you just dropped to your knees in admission, now dance on your feet in awe.
Let’s pray together that in this plowing and plodding season we will not grow weary (Galatians 6:9), but bear the fruit of the Spirit… and then walk in the cool of the garden with Him and enjoy the fruit of love, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, and self control.
