Psalm 30 & a Prayer

1 I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
— O Lord DO NOT let my foes rejoice over me. Please sing LOUDER. (Zeph. 3:17)

2 O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.

— thank you for hearing me. Thank you for healing me. Inside out, through and through, not just for today, but into eternity.

3 O LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

— Jesus this reminds me of Psalm 40. My prayer for so long, in another season of silence. Waiting. Sitting. Submitting. Learning You.

— You are my Restoration.

4 Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.

— come on! All of you who have been heard, who have been healed! Who know God the Restorer, God the Rejoicer. SING with me! Sing TO me! The good news! Sing His Song, the one He sings over you,.. Sing it back to Him, sing it to me, sing it for yourself to hear, to remember, to rejoice with the Rejoicer, with me, a rejoicer. sing…

5 For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

— it may be a Very. Long. Night. Joy may only come on That Day. But the Day will come. And the Day will be longer. fuller. brighter. it will be. wait for the morning. Watch for the morning. For the Dawn. For the Dawn-Breaker. The Sun Riser. And when He comes, JOY. Joy to the World, The LORD has Come. Our come through God has come and has come with favor, joy, has come with the morning light, for a life time.

6 As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.”

— o Lord let me not be moved. Steadfast and strong in Your steady stance.

7 By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed.

— you Alone lord. Sovereign and Good.

8 To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy:

— to whom other would I cry?, for You are Mercy. You are Lord.

9 “What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?

— please let me live that I may live faithfully for you, praising you, ALIVE IN YOU. LIFE IS IN YOU.

10 Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me! O LORD, be my helper!

— yes & amen

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

— it’s true Lord. I dance because of you. I dance with you. You are my dance partner. You are the song; the Singer. You even dressed me for the dancing,… O Jesus.  Thank you for this dance of delight!

12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

— I pray I will always open my mouth in praise to you, praise of you, praising, thanking You. Let me not be silent. Let me sing!
— Amen.
